Welcome to my Piano Students and Parents

Hello to all my piano students and their parents.

This website is for you and your child. As a parent myself, I understand your need to keep up on your child's progress and interest in piano lessons (not to mention your financial investment). I also am aware of most parents' very busy schedules juggling children, jobs and other responsibilities. That is why I created this website. I want to maintain a convenient and open communication channel with you, and develop a sense of community among all of us.

Parents: You will find information and resources here to help you follow your child's progress, and suggestions for how you can encourage his enjoyment of piano lessons.

In the future, there will be a community forum for you to communicate with other parents on any subject that interests or concerns you.

Students: you will find information about the piano and music that is interesting as well as fun.

Each student has a separate page. In it, I log comments after each lesson so that you can know how your child is progressing, his/her attitude toward lessons, and any suggestions I would like to make to you. I encourage you to email or call me if there is any concern that you would like to discuss.

Each page is password protected so that only you can read my comments. Just go to the "Students" link, and scroll down until you see your child's name. There you will enter the password to see the log I fill out every week.

Studio Policy and Philosophy. You will also find my studio policy and teaching philosophy here to better understand my teaching style. I welcome comments and suggestions or questions about anything you are unsure about.

I want you to know that I truly care about your child, your investment, and your family's interest in music education. I believe that, by including you directly in your child's lessons, you will be in a better position to encourage and support an appreciation in music and musical skills.
