Piano Lessons in Southern Delaware

Hello,

My name is Aimee Phillips and I teach piano and keyboard lessons to children, teens and adults in Rehoboth Beach/Lewes area and Bethany Beach/Ocean View area.

I teach piano and keyboard lessons to students of all ages from 6 and up.

The younger the student, the more traditional are the lessons. The older student, 13 and up, along with the parents, have more say in what the student will focus on:

	Traditional piano lessons
	Jazz and Pop piano styles
	Chord Style piano
	Improvisation
	Play by Ear

Many adult students want to learn chord style piano and keyboard and bypass learning to read the left hand altogether. This is a valid goal and usually within a year or two, the student is proficient at playing his or her favorite songs. Other adults want to learn classical music or build on their existing knowledge and brush up on their skills.

All my students learn the theory and how music "works," and I give them opportunities to learn to pick out a song by ear and add an accompaniment to it, learn improvisation and dressing up a basic song.

I believe that piano lessons should be fun as well as an opportunity to learn discipline.

I teach piano lessons in Rehoboth Beach/Lewes area, and Ocean View/Bethany Beach area.

I teach piano lessons at B & B Music on Rt. 1 in Lewes, Delaware, and also at my home in Ocean View/Bethany Beach area. I also occasionally teach in the student's home, depending on the circumstances.
